Early in his career, Phil was involved in a number of significant projects, including large civic and state projects. In 1985 he was appointed Project Architect to the new Auckland High Court. However, later in that year he resigned his position in order to pursue a Creative Arts Diploma course at a private college in Sydney, Australia. For the duration of the diploma course he took up part time employment with a Sydney based Development Consultancy firm in the capacity of a Project Manager. The projects to which he was appointed included a number of Industrial Park Estates, Multi storey commercial buildings, Resorts and Churches. He then joined another architect and together they formed an architectural consultancy practice in Chatswood under the name of Neometro Architects and Planners. In 2003 Mr. Pritchard responded to an invitation to China which has led to the company being actively involved in China working on high quality residential and hotel developments in Foshan and Changsha. Recently designing the Commercial precinct which lines the boundaries of one such development.
